Custer Cruisin' Rally:  Custer, South Dakota (August 3 - 12, 2007) - If you enjoy motorcycles and the beauty of the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore, but you would prefer to avoid the wild party of the Sturgis Rally, then this is the bike rally for you.  The Custer Cruisin' Rally is a family-friendly alternative to the Sturgis Rally.  Events include a scavenger hunt, motorcycle rides, and a Veterans appreciation ceremony.  Event rides include tours of the Black Hills country.  This an excellent family oriented bike rally that offers an alternative to the wild and crazy Sturgis Rally.

Sturgis Bike Rally:  Sturgis, South Dakota (August 6 - 12, 2007) - Although it began as a small race in 1938, the Sturgis Rally is now a huge world-class bike rally with more than 500,000 bikers attending.  There are numerous attractions on Main Street and around Sturgis including several scenic rides in the Black Hills, area national forests, and Mount Rushmore National Memorial.  In addition, more events include custom bike shows, Harley-Davidson races, chopper shows, biker build-offs, major motorcycle manufacturers, top parts/accessories/and apparel suppliers, live music, stunt shows, biker contests, tattoo shows, wet tee-shirt contests, pudding wrestling, burnout pits, dynos, and countless other contests and events in the Sturgis biker bars - some of the best in the world.
