The Lone Star Bike Rally in
Galveston, TX began in 2003. This is a relatively new bike rally that
has been gaining incredible popularity since its creation. Being
located in Galveston, makes this rally a great one as Galveston Island
has so much to offer bikers. Bikers will enjoy milder Texas climate as
the rally is usually scheduled for November. The Lone Star Rally has
more than enough places to hang out, things to do, and plenty of live
music to entertain the locals and visitors alike! Another great thing
to know is there is no admission fee charged!
The first rally in 2003 saw 75,000
people. Then in 2004, the second year, there were 250,000 people! The
numbers in 2005 were still pretty impressive considering that was the
year Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast in the months prior to the
rally; there was still 225,000 people at the rally anyway. The numbers
in 2006 are sure to be just as high as the hurricane season was
practically non-existent for that year. |
