Perhaps it was the appeal of hard sand, warm winter days
and the excitement of motorcycles, that make
Daytona Beach the home of Biketoberfest. Maybe it was the spirited
activities surrounding the event that have kept people keep coming back.
Biketoberfest is one of the largest motorcycle
rallies in the world. It is known well for its great attractions
available for the biker crowd and all people alike. There are many of
the best custom bike builders available to show off their creations. In
addition, there are many great custom bike shows with elite competition
in many categories.
There has always been tons of options open to what one can do upon
arrival at this great motorcycle rally. There are several great
motorcycles on display everywhere you turn. Bikes can be found by
simply people/bike watching, bike events, or simply shopping in the
Daytona area itself. There are great shopping options right in Main
Street and Beach Street. When the thirst comes on, or the need to kick
back for a bit should arise, there are World famous bars available that
provide a lot of the entertainment at this Daytona Beach biker rally.
The bars have live music, bike shows, contests, dynos, vendors,
exhibits, and more. A great time by all!
Historical, because of the dates of this rally, hurricane weather can be
a concern. However, as recently as 2005, the Daytona Beach
Biketoberfest area was spared and the Florida motorcycle rally brought
the entertainment people expected.
Daytona Beach has some alternative scenic attractions other than the
bike attractions. The white sandy beaches are a great reprieve for
anyone who wants to enjoy their vacation more with a well-deserved soak
in the sun. Don’t forget the sunscreen, Daytona can still be a hot area
at this time of the year. Be sure to ask any local in the area to
direct your way to ride “The Loop”, a must to do while you stay in
Daytona. This loop consists of 22 miles and does show some of the great
scenic beauty that Daytona has to offer. |
